Why we built this

Companies have spent decades perfecting how to manage a workforce — not just the work itself, but the mindset behind it. Keep expectations low. Keep people feeling replaceable, grateful just to have a job, and disconnected from everyone around them. A worker who never compares notes with anyone else has no real idea what they're worth, or how much leverage they actually have.

LaborXL exists to level that playing field. Not with theory — with numbers. Real numbers, built by real workers, that show exactly where the power actually sits.

Build your numbers, quietly

The moment "union talk" reaches a manager, the response kicks in fast — and it's well-funded and well-rehearsed. That's the trap. LaborXL flips the order: workers organize discreetly first. You check in anonymously, your numbers join everyone else's, and the group grows completely invisible to employers.

By the time that number is big enough to matter, it already does. No early warning, no countermeasures — just leverage that was quietly built before anyone knew to look for it.

Why not just join a union?

Traditional unions have left huge parts of the workforce behind — especially service workers. Too often it's a handful of people getting free pizza at a meeting, mostly people who already fit a specific trade. Meanwhile, companies have gotten smart: they hire people with no formal experience specifically because it keeps them outside that world — even though, a few months in, that person is doing skilled, professional-level work. They just never get the title, the recognition, or the leverage that should come with it.

LaborXL doesn't care what's on your résumé. If you're doing the work, your numbers count — and your worth gets measured by what you actually do, not by what a job title says you're allowed to be worth.
